Newtownshandrum GAA Club were successful in our Sports Capital Grant appeal recently and were allocated funding to the value of €119,806 towards drainage works on our "old field" and a contribution towards our gymnasium. This money will assist us greatly and will allow us to access the field for longer periods of the year. The club would like to thank Michael Moynihan, TD and Cllr. John Paul O`Shea in assisting us with our appeal, making representations on our behalf and giving great advice along the way. Lastly, a special word of thanks to our local councilor Ian Doyle who also assisted with the appeal and has helped with and sought funding allocation from other grants in recent times especially for our new walkway.
